#56 – Tim Brown

Tom Riles and Art Eddy present the “BACK TO FALL SPECTACULAR” show. The boys talk about their kids going back to school, football, and the Dads Doing Good campaign with Honda. They also welcome former NFL great Tim Brown.

Heisman Trophy winner Tim Brown has proved that he was one of the top NFL receivers during his days with the Oakland Raiders. The nine time Pro Bowler scored 105 touchdowns during his NFL career. He entered the College Football Hall of Fame in 2009 and was awarded the 2012 NCAA Silver Anniversary Award.

Brown, who had over 1,000 receptions in the NFL still does a lot after he retired from the game. Brown is the National Chairman for the 911 for Kids organization that educates kids on the proper use of using the 911 emergency service. Art was able to chat with Tim about his days at Notre Dame and in Oakland, fatherhood, and his work with 911 for Kids.

Ryan and Art share their stories about how “End of the Rainbow Fruit Salad” has been a big hit for their kids. Find out which Food Network star gave the book rave reviews as well.

Kitchen Club Kids is a brand new recipe adventure series that is designed to use cooking as a platform to teach kids basic counting, colors, food recognition and help kids develop their problem solving and critical thinking skills. It also introduces the concept of sharing to kids.

Each book uses colorful illustrations that take kids on a cooking adventure while teaching them important learning fundamentals as well as promote healthy eating habits.

Tom Riles and Art Eddy discuss what happens when their children act up in public and how to keep things in perspective.

Tom talks about the new video for the Dads Doing Good campaign with Honda that debuted this week on Life of Dad. Tom and Art chat about the Life of Dad Fantasy Football League and that people can still enter to win a $500 gift card from Starbucks. Tom also introduced a new segment called “Dad of the Week.” Which dad got the honors this week? Listen to the podcast.

They also have special guest comedian, actor, and martial artist Hal Sparks. He is currently starring in the Disney XD show, “Lab Rats”. Hal is a star commentator on VH1’s popular “I Love the 80s” series and can be heard every Wednesday on the nationally syndicated “Stephanie Miller Radio Show”. Hal is also a pop culture expert and regularly appears on such shows as “Joy Behar” and CNN’s “Your Money”.

Tom Riles and Art Eddy discuss the wonders of technology that we have today. One is being able to use Skype or FaceTime with family when we are away. They also chat about the fun and exciting campaigns Life of Dad is running with Starbucks Coffee and the Milk Mustache Campaign.

The fellas bring Charles Baker on the show to discuss his role as Skinny Pete on the AMC hit series “Breaking Bad”. Baker opens up about his role on the show, fatherhood, and his outstanding work he does with the National Court Appointed Special Advocate (CASA) Association.
